Dr. Janel Hackbardt is a compassionate dental professional dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality care to her patients. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry. Prior to her dental training, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences.

Following dental school, Dr. Hackbardt completed a General Practice Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. During this intensive year, she managed complex emergency cases, including dental trauma and facial fractures, while providing routine care for a culturally diverse patient population. Dr. Hackbardt understands Spanish dental terminology, allowing her to better communicate with a broader range of patients.

Currently practicing in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Hackbardt focuses on a wide array of general dentistry procedures, including:

I had an amazing experience at Midwest Dental in Jenison! The staff were so friendly and gentle with me. I recently had two fillings, and they explained every tool and step, which made me feel completely safe and comfortable. A few days before my fillings, I had a cleaning, which was also excellent! They even let me try the air tool to dry my teeth, and the hygienist took the time to show me proper brushing techniques. If you have kids—or anyone—who gets nervous about the dentist, I highly recommend this office. They make the whole experience easy, comfortable, and stress-free!

After calling everywhere I asked a Facebook moms group for help as to where to go for a dental emergency with Medicaid. Tiffany, a dental assistant responded with the phone number as well as who to speak to & they got me in that afternoon. We came up with a treatment plan and it was all around a super comfortable and easy experience.

I have been coming to this location for some years now and have always had a good experience. Hannah, a hygienist, is very professional and worked gently. She took into account my comfort during the appointment. The facility is clean. Going to the dentist was a source of anxiety for me, but it has diminished a bit because of the quality care I receive here.

Very professional personal,friendly and helpful! My dental hygienist Veronika Stiles is the best-never pain,just beautiful smile ,what she is doing for me during 10 years!!!
